Albert Lammens was a Belgian tennis player who represented Belgium in the Davis Cup and the Olympic Games. In 1919, Lammens won the men’s singles title at the Belgian Championships and, with Jean Washer, won the men’s doubles title at the same tournament in 1920 and 1921.

Lammens took part in the Summer Olympic Games in 1920, when the competiton took place in his native country, and in the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 1924. In the men’s singles event in 1920, he won his first-round match against Hans Syz. This was followed by a victory over Carl-Eric von Braun in the second round, but in the third round Ichiya Kumagae proved too strong. In the men’s doubles event in 1920, Lammens partnered with Jean Washer. They defeated Sune Malström and Carl-Eric von Braun in the first round but lost in the second round in straight sets to the Japanese pair of Kumagae and Seiichiro Kashio.

At the Summer Olympic Games in 1920, Lammens played in the mixed doubles event with Anne Chaudoir and, after a bye in the first round, and a win in the second against Jeanne Vaussard and François Blanchy, they were defeated in the third round in three sets by the eventual Olympic champions Suzanne Lenglen and Max Decugis.

At the Summer Olympic Games in 1924, Lammens competed in the men’s singles and men’s doubles events. In the men’s singles he had a bye in the first round and then lost in straight sets to Pavel Macenauer in the second round, winning just a single game. With compatriot Stéphane Halot he had a bye in the first round of the men’s doubles event. They lost in the second round to the French team of René Lacoste and Jean Borotra.

Albert Lammens was a member of the Belgian Davis Cup team in 1919, when Belgium lost to France, and in 1921, when Belgium beat Czechoslovakia. He died in October 1933 and the age of 43.
