Wejherowie, Poland
The last (chronologically) of the leading Polish tennis players (7 national championships, including 2 indoor doubles), who practically did not appear in the professional tour. Quite simply: most of his career fell on the declining period of the Polish People's Republic, when it was very difficult for athletes to take up international competition on equal terms. Only half of the tennis generation younger than "Bieńek" - Katarzyna Nowak and Wojciech Kowalski started it.
After putting the racket back on the shelf, he became a recognized coach - both a workshop man (e.g. our best doubles pair in history, Fyrstenberg-Matkowski) and the PZT team (juniors won the 1999 World Championship bronze under his leadership), including the Daviscup. He runs - under his own name - a tennis school in his hometown of Wejherowo.
