Felix von Heyden, as he was known, achieved more fame as a soccer player than as a tennis player. He was part of the Dutch team that won the bronze medal in the soccer event at the 1920 Summer Olympics Games in Antwerp, Belgium. After his soccer career, Felix von Heyden was Mayor of Rosmalen from 1923 to 1955 (his father, Antonius von Heyden, had been Mayor of Weerselo from 1885 to 1895). The street known as Burgemeester Jonkheer von Heijdenlaan in Rosmalen is named after Felix von Heyden whose surname is also sometimes spelt von Heijden.
