Antonin Koželuh was the brother of fellow lawn tennis players Alois, František, Jan, Josef, Karel and Marie Koželuh. Antonin was also a football player and, later, a professional tennis coach. After World War One, he worked for a time as the chauffeur of Czechoslovakian President Tomáš Masaryk; he also gave tennis lessons to Masaryk’s daughters Alice and Olga.
In later life Antonin Koželuh emigrated to Canada with his wife Jana and their children. He subsequently worked as a tennis and soccer coach in Montreal. His daughter, Hana Sládková Koželuhová (b. 1928), was one of Canada’s top tennis players in the 1950s; she won the women’s singles event at the Canadian International Championships in 1955.
Antonin Koželuh died in Montreal in March 1968 at the age of 69.
