About

Clemente Serventi was the brother of fellow lawn tennis player Alfonso Serventi. Before he began to take part in lawn tennis tournaments, Clemente Serventi was also the goalkeeper for the Italian football team Lazio in the years 1913-15. He served with the Italian Army during World War Two, reaching the rank of corporal and focussed solely on lawn tennis after the war. He was a member of the Parioli Lawn Tennis Club in Rome, and represented Italy in the Davis Cup in 1925 and 1926.
