About

An able and consistent performer on the tennis court, and a player who applied himself and thoroughly deserved his many credits, Griffin took three U.S. National Doubles Championships alongside Bill Johnston. In 1914, he showed that he could do quite well on his own, winning the U.S. Clay Court Championships. He was around the top tier in his nation for a relatively short period of time, concluding four seasons among the top ten in the United States. Griffin drew from all of his resources and accomplished a great deal.

Later a (stock) broker by profession.
