Miloš Šolc was born into a tailor’s family. In 1926, he became the coach of Gabriela von Ratiborová in Austria. In 1929, he experienced a spiritual conversion under the influence of his mother. In 1941, he married Bohumila Bertlova. In the same year, he became a lay preacher of the Fraternal Unity of Baptists in Prague. After the Second World War, he worked as a coach of the Yugoslavian Davis Cup team.

In the years 1950-1954, he studied theology. In 1957, he became the preacher of the BJB choir in Vinohrady, Prague. In 1963, he had to leave the choir under pressure from the state authorities. From 1964 he worked in the Lovosice Baptist Church. In 1969, he was elected preacher of the BJB congregation in Liberec. He retired in 1971. In the years 1979-1980, he worked briefly as a preacher in Toronto, Canada.

He and his wife Bohumila had four: children Miloš, Josef, Bohumila and Renát.
