An attorney by profession; also the author of several bestselling books. His successful prosecutions notably include that of Charles Manson and members of the so-called Manson Family for the murders of the actress Sharon Tate, her unborn child and four other people at the home of Tate and the movie director Roman Polanski in Los Angeles on the night of 8 August 1969.
Vincent Bugliosi’s books include Helter Skelter (with Curt Gentry; 1974), about the Mason case; Outrage: The Five Reasons Why O. J. Simpson Got Away with Murder (1996); and No Island of Sanity: Paula Jones v. Bill Clinton – The Supreme Court on Trial (1998).
