Q. M. MITCH GORNTO, Jr. Q. M. Mitch Gornto, Jr., of Lake Clarke Shores, FL passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 following a long and courageous battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Hospice of Palm Beach County provided a peaceful and loving passing with family and friends.

Mitch served in the Navy during World War II returning home in October 1945. He began his career as a Tennis Professional shortly after returning home from the war and it continued for over 50 years. His career began in Ft. Lauderdale; then moving to Palm Beach at the Bath and Tennis Club for over 40 years. During the summer months he worked at Manursing Island Club and the American Yacht Club in Rye, New York.

Mitch is survived by five children; QM, Susan, John, Mike and David. His beloved grandchildren; Carrie and Mitchell Webb, Jeremy and Quinn Gornto and Michael James Gornto and Mitch's sister, Mary Anderson. He will always be remembered as a beloved father and teacher.
