From The Western Daily Press (Bristol), 9 October 1937:
Captain Ernest W. Burnett
Many will learn with regret of the sudden death on Thursday of Captain Ernest Westmore Burnett (Commander Royal Navy Reserve) at his home, Moorings, 189 Stoke Lane, Bristol. Captain Burnett recently retired after many years’ service as Marine Superintendent with the Bibby Line, and, in fact, he had been associated with that company for over 40 years. He was a well-known and popular figure in Liverpool, Bristol and Southampton.
