International Master of Sports. Winner of the Galea Cup (European Team Championship, 1964), two-time winner of the USSR Winter Championships (1969, 1973), winner of the Moscow International Tournament in doubles (together with Vladimir Palman) in 1969, member of the Davis Cup national team (1966), 15 - multiple champion of Leningrad in various categories.

One of the best tennis players in St. Petersburg in the entire history. On the court, he was distinguished by excellent technique, a versatile manner of conducting a tennis match and exceptional elegance. He had a backhand, rare in strength, reliability and beauty, with which he often earned victory points in matches with the strongest players of his time.
