1886: The Rochester Lawn Club is founded with 2 grass courts located at the corner of Prince & University in the city of Rochester
1907: The club relocates to the corner of Culver & University
1915: The Tennis Club of Rochester is incorporated and moves to Farrington Place
1917: TCR Hosts The Red Cross Tournament during World War I
1932: The first year a non-voting playing membership is offered
1947: 2 of the 10 courts are resurfaced with Redcort, the 8 other courts remain clay
1955: The Marsh Cup series returns, hosting its first tournament of the new series at TCR
1961: Peter Cawthorn is hired as TCR’s pro
1966: TCR’s First Indoor Season occurs when a large bubble is used to cover 2 of the courts
1968: TCR moves to its current home in Bushnells Basin and had 12 clay courts and 5 composition courts
1982: Gretchen Wright is the first woman elected as the President of TCR by the Board of Governors
1986: TCR Celebrates 100 years
2007: First time TCR hosts the USTA Futures Pro Tournament, now called LB Rochester ITF World Tour Event
